The Candyskins
Feed It (GFR010)

The Candyskins' story began in 1990 when brothers Mark and Nick Cope got together with Karl Shale, Nick Burton and John Halliday.
They were quickly signed to American label Geffen and enjoyed immediate success with the single Wembley and album Fun.
Other groups looked on jealously as everything fell into place for The Candyskins. Nick said: "We were lucky at the beginning and got used to having a bit of money and being treated well."
The run of good fortune wasn't to last. A dispute with Geffen ended up with Nick and Mark Cope being arrested for spraying "No Fun" on the Geffen Headquarters in London.
The band signed to the Ultimate record label in 1996 and over the next two years enjoyed their most successful spell.
